The property is close to the historic town of Goiana which is a thriving market town with banks, schools, supermarkets and retail outlets. There is a daily market which sells fresh local products.
There is a direct freeway to Recife which is about 40km from the property and is the fifth-largest metropolitan area in Brazil. Recife has a modern international airport with direct flights to the US and Europe (Portugal is only a 7 hour flight).
The picturesque Unesco World Heritage Site of Olinda with its historic buildings and famous carnival is only 25km from the propertyAll of these centres are accessible by the freeway and by cheap direct public transport a few minutes walk from the house.
The area is also famous for its natural beauty. There are open fields, natural rivers and coconut plantations. It is perfect for walking and cycling.
Much of life here revolves around the beach and there are serveral accessible beaches visible from the property. These include: the beautiful stretch of water at Atapuz with its fishing boats, bars and lesisurely ferries
